About GBA

Group Benefits Administrators, Inc. (GBA), located in Salt Lake City, Utah, has a rich history supporting teamsters, employers, and the benefits industry.

GBA along with sister company, Corbett Benefit Plans Service Company, Inc. have over 58 years of continuous experience as the third-party administrator for multi-employer, Taft-Hartley health and welfare benefit trusts. Both companies are family owned, Utah corporations and are co-located to provide better services to their respective, Taft-Hartley clientele.

The Corbett family first entered the business of administering multi-employer, Taft-Hartley trusts in July of 1957 when Dean F. Corbett was first appointed as the administrative manager of a trust. As Dean F. Corbett was appointed to administer more and more multi-employer, health and welfare trusts, he founded Corbett Benefit Plans Service Company as a sole proprietorship in 1962, incorporated in 1966, and founded GBA in 1977. Today, Mr. Corbett remains active as a special advisor to a number of trusts and as the President of Corbett Benefit Plans Services Company and GBA.

Today, Frank L. Corbett (Dean Corbett's son) and Charles L. Pritchett serve as co-administrators to the multiple, mulit-employer, Taft-Hartley health and welfare trusts under the purview of Corbett Benefit Plans Service Company and GBA. Frank Corbett first joined his father at GBA in 1980 while Mr. Pritchett, a certified public accountant (CPA), joined GBA as a HIPAA and technology consultant in 2002.
